ROTC Seminar

goldsealFor only the second time in its 16-year history, the Oklahoma Military Hall of Fame (OKMHF) will include a seminar featuring some of our  honored inductees. The theme of the seminar is taken from the OKMHF’s motto, “Spirit of a Warrior – Heart of a Patriot.” We approach this theme with four speakers, two Army Green Beret Congressional Medal of Honor recipients, a former Air Force combat pilot and POW, and a U.S. Marine and Kiowa Tribe member, as listed in the order of their presentations below. Click on a name to read the speaker’s bio.

Army Green Beret Sgt. Frist Class Melvin Morris, Medal of Honor recipient

Marine Corps Capt. Robert Poolaw, Member of Kiowa Tribe and Vietnam Infantry Officer

Army Green Beret Cmd. Sgt. Major Bennie Adkins, Medal of Honor recipient

Air Force Lt.Col. William Schwertfeger, Vietnam fighter pilot and POW

In addition to ROTC cadets, midshipmen, cadre and alumni, all OKMHF participants may attend the seminar by showing their induction banquet tickets at the door of the seminar room.

The seminar will begin in the Embassy Suites, Norman, OK, at 1 p.m., Friday, October 21, and continue until 5 p.m., prior to the evening’s OKMHF induction ceremonies.
